🌟Join Us for the Third ISOCS Industrial Webinar!🌟

·

We are excited to announce the third session of the ISOCS Industrial Webinar Series, taking place on October 6th, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (CET). This session will feature two cutting-edge presentations on chemical sensing and breath analysis.

🎤 Presentation 1:
“Sensor Array Systems in Breath Analysis: Insights from Lung Cancer Detection Projects – Presentation of the ongoing ALCOVE project”
Speaker: Anne-Claude Romain, Professor at the University of Liège (ULiège), Belgium

Anne-Claude Romain is a chemist and head of the “Sensing of Atmospheres and Monitoring” (SAM) laboratory. She pioneered the development of e-noses for environmental odour monitoring during her PhD and founded a spin-off company in 2008. With over two decades of experience in chemical sensing and olfaction, she has been part of the community since 1994 and currently serves as President of ISOCS. Her expertise spans chemical analysis, olfactometry, and low-cost sensor array development, with applications in air pollution monitoring and breath analysis.

🎤 Presentation 2:
“Breath Analysis with Chemical Sensor Systems: The Tough Road to Clinical Application”
Speaker: Jan Mitrovics, Physicist and Technology Entrepreneur

Jan Mitrovics is co-founder of JouleTech UG and CEO of JLM Innovation GmbH, with over two decades of leadership in R&D and product development. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen and specializes in sensors, systems engineering, and nanotechnology. His work focuses on advancing chemical sensor systems toward practical clinical applications.
